GP Accelerator’s ‘Jelay Jelay Smart Uddyokta’ boot camp held

Hosted by Grameenphone’s GP Accelerator, the 17th session of the nationwide daylong boot camp ‘Jelay Jelay Smart Uddyokta’ recently took place at the National Institute of Youth Development in Savar, Dhaka. 
According to an official press release, approximately 300 entrepreneurs participated in the boot camp, which has been organised to provide university students and young entrepreneurs with skills, networking opportunities, and guidance in securing funding for new business ventures. 
This regional boot camp is being held in phases across 20 regions nationwide, and engaged with 4,500 ‘ideapreneurs’ nationwide, says the press release. The programme was divided into two parts, with the first part focusing on a workshop on design thinking, product testing, conducting market research, financial modelling, and creating a pitch deck for investment. In the second part, an idea-pitching competition was organised where local entrepreneurs presented various ideas. Among them, solving local problems was given importance.
At the programme, the winning team was awarded a prize of BDT 1 lakh.
